She received her doctorate from California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University and completed an APA accredited internship at The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University/Charlie Norwood Veteran Affairs Medical Center consortium. She was also trained as a forensic postdoctoral fellow at Augusta University/East Central Regional Hospital.

Dr. Remaker has years of experience treating patients and providing clinical services as well as conducting forensic evaluations. Dr. Remaker has provided services at state hospitals, correctional settings, and within community agencies for adults and youth.
Her research and professional interests include family cohesiveness for families with incarcerated loved ones, mentorship, trial competency, psychiatric stabilization, work-life balance, race socialization, violence risk, and recidivism.
Dr. Remaker has extensive experience performing various psychological services including:
Adult criminal assessment for competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility evaluations, juvenile evaluations, malingering assessments, psychological testing and pre-surgical evaluations (i.e., bariatric). Dr. Remaker provides an array of services on psycho-legal issues including violence risk, sanity and mental condition evaluation, and competence to stand trial. Dr. Remaker has been rendered an expert witness and provides courtroom testimony.
